Does myGlucoDog have a medical function?

No. myGlucoDog has no intended medical purpose; the app is used exclusively for retrospective documentation and motivation. The app does not replace manufacturer apps, medical alarms, diagnosis, treatment or medical advice.

Where is my data stored?

Profile, health and diary data is stored locally on your device. Data is transferred only when you start an explicitly selected optional feature.

Can I really use myGlucoDog without a cloud?

You only need the internet for online features you choose, such as food search or external services.

Which languages are supported?

German, English, French, Italian, Spanish, Dutch and Turkish.

Can myGlucoDog import readings automatically?

Yes. With PREMIUM, readings can be imported automatically from all supported Bluetooth blood glucose meters. Dexcom Share and Nightscout can also be connected optionally. Exact compatibility depends on the device and operating system.

Who is the app designed for?

myGlucoDog is a diabetes documentation app for children, teenagers, families and adults. The GlucoDog is your digital diabetes companion inside the app.

Do I need PREMIUM to use myGlucoDog?

No. myGlucoDog is fully usable without PREMIUM. PREMIUM is an optional subscription that adds convenience: all GlucoDogs, automatic import from all supported meters, templates for insulin, meals and activity, your own SnapShot design templates, and saving data as PDF.

How does food search work?

Scan the barcode with the camera. myGlucoDog looks up the product in the Open Food Facts database, displays detailed nutrition information and Nutri-Score, and calculates FPU. An internet connection is required for the search.
